Redact Labs is a Toronto-based cybersecurity, IT, and AV firm founded by senior engineers who got tired of watching the industry sell complexity instead of solving problems. We do the work. We scope it honestly. We deliver it ourselves.
The cybersecurity and managed-IT industries are full of firms that win contracts by sounding sophisticated and lose them by failing quietly. The gap between sales engineering and delivery engineering is the place real organizations get hurt — the strategic decks promise senior expertise; the implementation gets handed to whoever is available.
Redact Labs exists to close that gap. The senior engineer who scopes the work delivers the work. No bait-and-switch. No "your account manager will loop in our delivery team." When you sign a Redact Labs engagement, you sign with the person you spoke to.
Multi-domain, on purpose
Most firms specialize narrowly. We do not. We run cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, networking, websites, and event AV simultaneously, because the kinds of organizations we serve — growing businesses, charities, venues, tours — need all of it and benefit when they do not have to coordinate four separate vendors.
Holistic capability is not a marketing claim for us. It is how we deliver. The same senior engineer who maps your donor-data flow can also harden the Wi-Fi at your gala, and that continuity is the point.

Canadian charities and nonprofits. We have built a five-tier charity cybersecurity practice specifically for the realities of the sector: tight budgets, donor-data sensitivity, board oversight, and complex provincial law (PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, PHIPA).
Sports, entertainment, and live events. Major Toronto franchise venues, top Canadian concert promoters, international touring acts. Show-day infrastructure, IT, and AV at every scale.
Small and mid-market business. 10–250 person companies that have outgrown their first-generation IT and need right-sized security and infrastructure that can scale with them.
How we operate
Every engagement begins with a 30-minute discovery call. From there, we write a fixed-fee proposal with named senior engineers, concrete deliverables, and a committed timeline. We do not bill by the hour for delivery work, and we do not run scope-creep mid-engagement.
We align our practice to NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls v8, and CyberSecure Canada by default, and adapt to PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, and PHIPA where the engagement requires it. See Trust & Security for the full compliance and operational disclosure.
Where we are based
Toronto, Ontario. We are deepest within the Greater Toronto Area — same-day onsite response is realistic for managed clients across the GTA — and we serve clients across Canada and the United States, with travel built into our event and audit work.
