ACCESSIBILITY · AODA

# An accessible website, with the evidence.

A fixed-fee audit of your website against WCAG, with every finding reproducible and ranked by impact. If your organization files the AODA accessibility compliance report due December 31, 2026, the audit documents where your website stands before you sign.

AODA · 2026 REPORTING

## Due December 31, 2026.

Ontario businesses and non-profits with 20 or more employees must file an accessibility compliance report every three years, and the current deadline is December 31, 2026. It is filed online through the province’s Accessibility Compliance Reporting Portal. You’ll need your organization’s legal name, business number, number of employees, and the name and contact information of the person certifying the report.

Separately, since January 1, 2021, businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees must make their public websites meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA, for web content posted after January 1, 2012. Live captions and pre-recorded audio descriptions are exempt.

Ontario says that not filing could lead to enforcement measures, which can include financial penalties. We audit the website; the report itself is yours to complete and certify. We’re not lawyers, and nothing on this page is legal advice.

AUTOMATED CHECKS

### Scan

Machines catch the repeatable failures, page by page.

Automated testing across every template and the pages that matter, to find what a rule can find.

- Page coverage · Every page template, plus the paths customers depend on: home, services, contact, forms, and anything they pay through.
- Contrast & structure · Colour contrast, headings, landmarks, labels, alt text and language settings, checked against WCAG success criteria.
- Desktop & mobile · Checked at desktop and mobile widths, because a layout that passes wide can fail narrow.

MANUAL TESTING

### Test

People catch what a scanner can’t.

Hands-on testing with the tools people with disabilities use every day.

- Keyboard only · Every interactive element reached, used and left with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator throughout.
- Screen reader · Key journeys read through with a screen reader: what is announced, in what order, and whether a form can be completed.
- Forms & errors · Labels, instructions and error messages checked, so a person can tell what went wrong and fix it.

THE REPORT

### Report

Every finding reproducible, every fix ranked.

A written report your team, or ours, can work from.

- Findings · Each issue with the page, the WCAG success criterion, how to reproduce it, and a screenshot.
- Priorities · Ranked by impact on real people, so the first fixes are the ones that block someone.
- WCAG 2.0 AA mapping · Results mapped to WCAG 2.0 Level AA, the level Ontario’s website requirement names.

## THE DELIVERABLE

One audit, one report.

- Audit report · Findings, priorities and reproduction steps for your website.
- Plain-language summary · One page on where the website stands, written for the person who signs off, not the developer.
- Remediation quote · If you want us to make the fixes, a fixed-fee quote scoped from the findings. Or hand the report to your own developer.

Accessibility Audit: fixed-fee, from $3,500 CAD for up to 10 templates, with manual testing, one retest and an accessibility statement; +$300 per extra template; remediation quoted on scope. Applicable taxes extra.

## WHAT WE DON’T PROMISE

Plain limits.

- Not legal advice · We audit your website. We don’t file your report, certify it, or advise on your legal obligations.
- No badges · We don’t sell badges or overlay widgets. You get evidence: what was tested, what was found, and what changed.
- A point in time · An audit describes the site on the day it was tested. Website Care Pro adds ongoing AODA monitoring.
